I usually don’t post much about trap-esque songs, mainly because there are a lot of sites dedicated to the sound. That said, Jai Trent’s “LBJ” delves a bit deeper than just the “I’m the shit, I’ll bust your head, I’ma flex” trappings (pun unintended) of the rap subgenre. Instead, Trent focuses on the way that people can switch up when you want to grow up and grow out. He also discusses the way that he came up and how it made him into the artist he’s now. The song’s a bit short, clocking in around two minutes. But not a second’s missed on it. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
