The Wheel Workers Capture a Lust for Life in “Suck It Up”

Above, we’ve got the latest song from Texas-based post-punk/indie rock outlet The Wheel Workers, the chaotic-but-refined “Suck It Up.” Written in the face of the pandemic (and a slew of uncertainties), this song captures both the lust for life most of us have almost three years into the COVID pandemic. However, it also just captures the frenetic nature of rock, specifically punk. It’s about getting your hands dirty and just enjoying life, because you never know when things will go left again.

This song, I’ll admit, normally wouldn’t get a feature on SOTB. That’s because SOTB is typically a hip-hop/R&B site, though I listen to just about every genre. That said, I couldn’t deny the energies exuded throughout this song. It would’ve been a crime against music for me to pass on this one. So if you’re in the mood for a song that’ll blend modern rock with punk teachings and energies, I recommend this song to you. Check it out above and support dope music in all its forms.
