This one reminds me of mid-2010s Weeknd, plain and simple. From the vocals all the way down to the guitar placed throughout the song, I get Weeknd vibes. That’s great for me, because The Weeknd is still one of my favorite artists out. That’s especially true when he blends melancholy R&B with alt-pop, like slf.ish does here. The Denmark-residing artist’s vocals are crisp and have a bit of hurt behind them as well. All in all, it’s one of those tracks you’ll want to play over and over because you’ve been in the situation I feel is entailed in the song. That is, you’re infatuated with someone who can’t truly be yours and you’re trying to grasp onto every moment with them you can. Check out the song below and support dope music in all its forms.
