A new cut from Jersey artist James Aris, “Severed” (or “SEVERED” as it’s stylized) is a track, like several I’ve featured in the last couple days, for the bar aficionados out there. Over a thumping boombap beat, Aris just speaks his mind and speaks from the heart. On top of that, he’s got that East Coast rapper swagger to him that makes you hang onto his words, wondering where he’ll go next. “Severed” is a solid track, one that definitely deserves a listen.
