STEP1 Presents Jelly and Rainfall

A double pack of sorts, “Jelly” and “Rainfall” are two of the latest tracks from DMV collective STEP1. “Jelly” is a powerful track, one that speaks on “what it’s like to celebrate change without feeling able to keep up with it.” In other words, knowing the one thing that’s constant is change, but still not being as equipped to keep afloat amongst all the change. That anxiety can take people under. However, STEP1 wants you to know you’re not alone in this fight. Again, the song is powerful and honest.

“Rainfall” speaks on mental and physical health issues as well.

The thing I like about this duology of songs–and STEP1 as a whole–is that they’re honest, real and speak on things you don’t always hear in hip-hop tracks. If you need some emotionally-charged hip-hop that wants you to keep going, check these out and support dope music in all its forms.
