Ktmoney Channels Lil Baby and Roddy Ricch on “Friends”

Over a guitar-and-piano-heavy production, teen artist Ktmoney lets his pain go all over the track on “Friends.” The song has a simple premise (he can’t open up, but still wants to–even though it sometimes blows up in his face). Sonically, as I mentioned, it reminds me of a Lil Baby or Roddy Ricch track in that it’s full of hurt, pain, and overall self-reflection–but still manages to be a head-nodding track where you may find yourself singing along to the chorus before all is said and done. The children are our future and, if Ktmoney’s track is any indication, this specific future may very well be bright and full of powerful tracks.
