Caye Discusses Social Media Addiction on “DOPAMINE”

Social media addiction is a crippling thing. Sure, it starts off benign, but then you’ve wasted six hours on TikTok or IG scrolling through other people’s lives, looking for that next hit of…well, dopamine. Alt-pop artist Caye understands this and is here to say “stop getting high off other people’s supplies (of memes, life hacks, etc.).” It’s a track that feels like a mix between Bon Iver and Frank Ocean sonically and thematically like a Frank track through and through. In a slightly ironic twist, this song is being pushed heavily on social media. So if you hear it in a TikTok or an IG reel, know that it’s really telling you to enjoy your life, not focus on the screens of others. Check out the song below and support dope music in all its forms.
