HZU describes this one as “an auditory experience so groovy, it’ll make you either want to get up and dance or lay back a bit further and melt into the couch.” Those are some true words from a wise man. That’s because “Visions of You” is a funky journey through space and time. Somewhere in between the catchiness of it all lies a story that’s divine and needs to be experienced.
Truthfully, I’d close the post here and hit you with the SOTBMusic catchphrase.
However, I want to talk a bit more about the instrumentation. It’s a mix of house, funk and old-school R&B. All of those vibes and energies come together to create a sound that’s unique, but still familiar. It kind of reminds me of Marvin Gaye on Here, My Dear, at least the more-experimental songs from that classic album. If you’re here to hear something that’ll broaden your horizons, step on up and experience HZU’s latest. This song sets up HZU to pretty much do anything he damn well pleases with his next track because he’s not being confined to genre or expectations.
That, my SOTB Faithful, makes him an artist to watch. So check out the song below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
