It’s a bit later in the day, so I feel this one’s appropriate (SOTBAfterDark this isn’t; I sometimes like to keep the sexy vibes to a minimum while most children are awake). This one appears on NieceyNi’s Chain Reaction project, which is a great collection of R&B-tinged tunes. “Sprung” finds the singer/songwriter singing about, well, someone who’s got her sprung and doing things she’d typically never do. Unlike T-Pain’s classic track, though, this one’s a bit more sultry, as it veers into slow jam territory. I think that’s why I like it; it keeps the same energy, but slows it down and lets you marinate within the sexiness of being sprung off someone.
