A slow burner that blends alt-pop and neo-soul, “Past Life” is a song that speaks on past love. More specifically, it speaks on knowing someone in some way, shape or form from your distant past and connecting with them in the present (mainly because of the way they know what gets you going and keeps you there). The feelings there are strong, strong enough to make you throw caution to the wind and wrap yourself up in the other person’s love. I also love the harmonies Morton and Rozzi employ on this song; they’re sexy, but a tad bit playful as well, sort of like a reminiscing love. Check out the powerful and beautifully-done song above and support dope music in all its forms.
