A’Maria Imani Presents “Knock”

This one connects with my soul. A laidback but still hard-hitting track about “living in a crazy world” and how it’s sometimes impossible to catch a break, “Knock” is a slow burner. It’s one that’ll grab your attention, either with the vocals or with the syrupy production. It connects with me because Mercury retrograde is a MFer and has had myself and those closest to me all sorts of jacked up.

If I had to choose a mainstream comparison for this song, I’d pick a mix between Muni Long and Summer Walker. The vocals are crisp and clean, while also having a large amount of melancholy attached to them. If this is enough to get you to check out the song, do so now and support dope music in all its forms.
