I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t give this one a listen at first because the artist in question has a similar name to my firstborn. Monsieur Jovoni’s “Agoge” is one of those smooth, Spitta-esque tracks. It aims to blend consciousness with trappy vibes. I think he does well doing so here, mainly because my head was bobbing all the way through the track. If you’re interested in what smooth conscious trap may sound like, it’s a blend of a lot of rap subgenres in an effort to create something infinite.
