Not many rappers can take on an old-school Eminem track and turn it into their own. Hell, most rappers will hop on an old Em track and flail around viciously and not do much else. Say what you will about Em’s recent track record, but his classics are classics for a reason. Enter RXTheRapper (who appeared on Teck-Zilla’s “The Best Emcees” earlier this month) with his rendition of “My Name Is.” The track finds RX giving a off-the-cuff version of Slim’s track while also showing us that he’s an artist everyone should hear at least once in their lives. The bars are solid and bring to mind Em while also being their own thing entirely.
