Above, we’ve got the latest from UK artist Speech Debelle, “Atlantis.” I enjoyed this one because it’s a nice slice of dreamy alt-rap about humanity and all the great and advanced things we’ve done over the years of our existence. It’s not a doom and gloom look at the future. Instead, it tells us to pay homage to past visionaries while building up for the future. It also tells us to love ourselves, as we’re the people who are doing to be the vanguard for the next generation (and the one after that). That’s a message I feel gets lost at points these days. I’m also a big fan of the abstract visuals, as they help flesh out the track. Check everything out above and support dope music in all its forms.
