Over a soulful beat, Sydmac speaks on, well, lost love. He doesn’t just give us the negatives. In fact, he speaks on the positives and even the fact he tried to fight for the love. This one, sonically, reminds me of Kendrick or Baby Keem, especially because of its vulnerability. “The Mac” strips down what we may’ve thought we knew about Sydmac and lays his soul bare. At least, of course, when it comes to this lost love and lost lover. He’s grown because of the rejection/loss and he’s able to reflect on it all and realize he was on some ish when he loved this person. I really like this one, especially because it reminds me of me early-to-mid 2021. As you all probably know (from IG or my posts here), that was when I ended things with my kids’ mother and took up claim in Ashley’s heart–because I finally realized that she (meaning Ashley, of course) was the love I sought. Check out “The Mac” below and support dope music in all its forms.

GREAT PIECE!
