A mix between neo-soul, empowerment bars, rap and spoken word, Elle E.D.’s “Baddie” sets out to redefine the term “baddie” and what it means to be one. The song features some powerful lyrics and impressive wordplay. I’m glad that rappers of all sizes, genders and types are making their mark on the game. Elle’s track is an incredible look at her life, while also promoting positivity. The first minute and a half help set up the rest of the track, especially with its spoken word-esque delivery. It’s all amazing and deserves a listen.
