DiZ Acknowledges Flaws and Wishes to Stop “Running Away”

DiZ is one of those young rappers who pays homage to those who came before him. However, he does it in a way that doesn’t sound like he’s pandering or just trying to rehash the past. On “Running Away,” the intro for his upcoming the way forward is not the way home project, the Boston rhymesayer takes the jazz rap he grew up on and flips it a bit onto its side. He creates a moody-but-still-somewhat-optimistic mood with the production and bars.

That’s because he also speaks about his fears, flaws and desires to stay put and grow in his own way. He doesn’t want to keep running away from an unknown future. Although, running seems easier than building and growing. Thankfully, DiZ decides against continuously side-stepping growth and maturation. Check out “Running Away” below and his twfintwh project next week and support dope music in all its forms.
