Ice Meez Presents “Fake Friends”

Northern California artist Ice Meez takes “Lovers and Friends” and makes it his own with “Fake Friends.” I like this one–even though I typically turn my nose up to 90s and 00s samples of popular tracks. That’s because the to-the-point nature of the melody here works SO DAMN WELL. It works well for Meez to spit his bars about dealing with folks who hate and try to steal your shine. On top of that, the beat, produced by Armani DePaul, knocks. Sometimes, the best answer is the easiest one. Plus, the West Coast vibe on that knocking beat? It’s damned great and makes me think a bit of Nip. And anything that brings to mind Nip for me is A-OK in my book. Check out the track below and support dope music in all its forms.
