I’ve had James Holloway on my Quickies radar for a while. However, this one, “Halfway (Remix),” grabbed me because of its approach to emotions (especially when they come to how men express them) and what it really means to be “real.” I also love the clean, conscious raps that Holloway spits here. If you need some conscious raps you can play around the kids or the grandparents, I think this one may be for you. Don’t get me wrong, though. It’s a fire song, but one that makes its fire known without a bunch of four-letter words. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
