Tracy Lamont and J.Phree Give Listeners Some “Real Rap”

I could easily just say “this is that real ish.” I could, but that’s not why you come to SOTB. Tracy Lamont and J.Phree’s lyrics on here feature conversations on the rap game, mental health and substance abuse–plus manages to be a coherent song with bars. Overall, if this is what 2023 is going to be like musically, I’m really looking forward to it. Technically, though, the song was released officially before Christmas; let’s not split hairs. Good music is good music. Oh, plus. It’s that real ish. The Virginia native (Lamont) has been on my radar for a while and the brother rarely misses.
