A song about “putting truth in our connections,” newcomer-ish artist Narde gives us a neo-soul journey through space and time to answer one question: what, instead of breaking, helps one’s soul to gain peace. Simply put, it’s those connections we make–especially those that aren’t just fleeting emotions. I know that too well (great connections and fleeting emotions that create a mediocre experience). Thankfully (and thanks to Ashley and some other people near and dear to me), I’m at peace soul-wise, as I’ve gained a lot of close, truthful connections–even when they may tell me things I may not want to hear. Check out the song below and support dope music in all its forms. I’m very intrigued by Narde and I’d recommend checking her out on your favorite DSP. She’s got a Lauryn Hill-meets-Doja Cat sort of vibe to her.
