Happy Friday, y’all. We made it! Anyways, we’ve got some new music from Bobby Thibs. Bobby Thibs has been, as long as I’ve been aware of him, a rapper cut from a different cloth. I mean, he rapped over a sample of “Beneath the Mask” from Persona 5. That, of course, got me into his stuff heavy as I’m as close to a Persona 5 fanboy without being an actual weirdo fanboy. However, his latest track, “Love Sick,” is an interesting take on a love song. It’s equal parts trippy rap and sadboy vibes (without the su*cidal ideation some sadboy raps focus on) while also just being a bop altogether. And the visuals are pretty damn impressive, too. Chalk that up to the fact that they’re equally trippy and “I’m living outside of my body while the world continues on,” kind of like early Weeknd videos. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms. If you liked “Love Sick,” check out Bobby’s “Lovelorn” EP (which is his take on a Valentine’s Day EP).
