Nomis Pays Homage on “Doomsday Clock”

First of all, the production on this one is crazy. Mixing the Family Matters theme with a Tech N9ne-esque beat, the song goes from an instrumental standpoint. Lyrically, it’s no slouch, either. That’s because Nomis pays homage to West Coast legends throughout the track in one of the best ways possible: he emulates flows and inflections to showcase that the West Coast is just as quintessential for hip-hop as NYC or Atlanta.

On top of this, he uses his bars to speak with some religious undertones. More specifically, he speaks “to the timeline of the creation, curse and covenant narrative between God and man.” Better yet, he does so in a way that’s accessible to all. All in all? This is an incredible track and I’m absolutely honored to showcase it on the site. If you’re interested in this wild (in a good way) song, I recommend checking it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
