Stacey Kelleher Speaks on Being Afraid to Disappoint on “Overcommitted”

Sometimes, people struggle with putting themselves first, out of a fear of disappointment. Constantly doing for others and neglecting yourself can lead to a lot of problems down the road. Personally, I had to get over that fear of disappointment and learn put myself first and foremost when I needed to. On “Overcommitted,” singer/songwriter Stacey Kelleher has to learn to do the same. It’s a poppy tune that has a very real overtone: if we keep overcommitting, we will run ourselves into the ground. I’m here for the messaging in the song and the songwriting, which Kelleher collaborated with Emily Gurklis and Fran Litterski to complete the song.
