Datta Boy’s latest song, “Rewind,” is pretty short and I’d normally pass on it because of that. It clocks in at just about two minutes. However, through that short time, we get a lot of bars to digest. Datta isn’t exactly worrying about telling in-depth stories here. Instead, he’s opting to flex his lyrical muscles and put out a song of pure BARS. “Rewind” is a track that’s lyricism at its purest. Flow-wise, the brother reminds me a bit of J. Cole on “ATM.” This song finds Datta “going off with the flow” and letting those who know him (and those who are listening for the first time) that he’s here to make a mark. That said, it’s a great song because of that flow and its knack for lyricism. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
