Gnarly Marley is a rapper from the Atlanta suburb of Ellenwood. He’s still a bit unknown, as he’s an indie rapper. A lot of us bubble but…well, you know. Thankfully, in Gnarly’s case, that should change in the coming months and years. Not only did Marley receive a co-sign from Joey Badass, the brother is just nice with his pen. His flow is very distinct and he gives us energy while also providing real life lyrics. You can hear that more on his album Brain Food, which “The Pursuit of Happiness” appears. “The Pursuit of Happiness” also features Lord Sko and Marley trading introspective rhymes about their lives, upbringing and some of the things they’ve seen while on the come up. It’s a gritty song, one that isn’t all that dark but it’s incredibly deep. For many of us artists, things could’ve gone left instantly. The fact that so many of us woke up today, it’s a blessing (even if you’re not the most religious). Anyway, check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
