United Grind has appeared on SOTB a time or two before, as the collective is BAR crazy (and sometimes, you just need a good collection of super dope, super intricate bars). On “Ambush Ballad,” we’re not getting anything lovey dovey like you’d expect a ballad to deliver. Instead, we’re given an onslaught of heavy-hitting rhymes from HiJinks and Lena Jackson. If you need that raw-a** rap from actual lyricists, this one’s for you. From a cinematography standpoint, the visuals remind me of some of my favorite rap videos from the 90s and 2000s.
