7HO3NIX returns to SOTB with the sultry “Touch Me with Your Words.” This is a song less about physical intimacy (we’ve got a lot of those types of songs) and more about how someone’s words can really do more to get you there in that physical sense–and even more still about how words can help heal old wounds. I’m here for the healing aspect of words, because sometimes words mean even more than actions. Crazy, I know. However, you sometimes just need to hear someone who you rock with say “hey, I love you” for no real reason other than “I just wanted to tell you.”
That’s why I tell The Shawty whenever I see her that I love her. Sure, neither one of us is like the super mushy type (at least not normally, though I do sometimes text Seas of Blue; it’s something I’ve been working on). But hey, it sometimes just be like that. It’s not because I’m afraid of losing her in my life if I don’t let her know how I feel. It’s more of an “I can’t take life for granted” type of things and, well, both of us saying it sometimes is all I need when my day/week has gone left like a MFer. I think that’s what 7HO3NIX is getting at with this one. Yes, it’s sensual with a lot of innuendo. However, it’s just more about “your words help me along me along my path, so let’s work on being there for each other.” It also helps that she’s got these sweet vocals that are also very rich and full while being a bit breathy, too. I get Janet-meets-SZA vibes a teeny bit from this one.
If you believe in the power of words–and the power of love, check this one out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.

Great article! I completely agree that words have the power to heal old wounds and create a sense of intimacy. The message in 7HO3NIX’s “Touch Me with Your Words” is definitely a powerful one. I’m curious, have you ever had an experience where someone’s words helped heal your wounds or made a huge impact on your life?
