Faron Sage Reminds Us to “Think Small” and Build Upon the Change

When Faron Sage speaks, I stop what I’m doing to listen. Their work, while very abstract, is engaging and makes you ponder answers to some of life’s multitude of questions. On “Think Small,” Sage gives a proverbial middle finger to those who value lives only by the person’s achievements. Let’s be real: not everyone is going to be a celebrity. And that’s perfectly okay, because we need more people like you and me. We need people who want to do whatever they can, no matter how small, to make an impact. Oftentimes, the biggest moves are made by the quietest people. So, remember: if you want to make change, be the change. As Faron alludes to, we’ve got to start with ourselves and then move outward. We can’t just jump in, expecting the “big moment.” If we do that, we end up living in a cycle of disappointment. Personally, I don’t have time to dwell on mistakes or waste my life pursuing a big win. After all, a win is a win.
