Fresh from Luka’s upcoming EP of the same name, “Papi Chulo” is a pretty tasty jam. This one is definitely for the summer, with the laidback vibes to the production (which Luka helmed along with the mixing and mastering) screaming “welcome back to the summertime. Enjoy the ride.” And what’s better is that Luka’s included […]

I’m usually not a fan of indie artists remixing established artists’ songs, even though I myself did it years ago (probably why I’m against it, but that’s neither here nor there). I love indie artists to shine on their own, even if they can eat an “industry beat” alive. However, Kuntry Kali’s laid-back but still […]

I got this one in my email from Seattle artist Nick Weaver. The pro-honesty anthem, produced by NYC duo MEMBA, is a slow burner that showcases both Nick’s lyrical ability and singing (on the hook). Mike Melinoe brings us some visuals from last year’s Caveman project. The trippy visuals flash lyrics and imagery throughout, showcasing some of the reasons why Mike’s got universal aspirations. On top of that, it’s something that definitely gets my attention for its blending of hip-hop sounds. There’s a great mix between chant-heavy bars and lyricism, […]
