New-to-me music from Dejuan Whaley. A smooth, UGK-esque flip of Willie Hutch’s “Never Let You Be Without Love” aids a positive energy-steeped track on this one. Overall, I found my head nodding and my ears perked up by Whaley’s switches back between a laidback flow and a double-time one, usually utilized to hammer the point home that Whaley is coming for his rightful spot and is taking all who want to go with him to his promised land.
