New SOTBMusic: @Fairplay_2333 Watches out for FEDS in New EP

Hats off to Julie Stevens of FlowsforDays.com for sending this one to my inbox. The thing that got me into this one was the sample of Alessia Cara‘s “Here” producer LawBeatz flipped. He took that track and turned it into this menacing flip where Fairplay bears his soul in some ways while keeping his edge in others.

What keeps Fairplay’s debut in my ears is that it’s undeniably Chicago, but there’s an evolution in the Chicago sound to include Rick Ross-like boss taunts and dark flows without just laying out how he’s going to shot you in the kneecaps and turn your Gheorge Muresan into Muggsy Bogues or something. Somewhat obscure NBA references aside, this is a dope collection of tracks that leaves me wanting more from the Chicago native. Check out FEDS below and support dope music in all its forms.
