Corey Lee is an artist who should be on your radars, especially if you’re in the market for bars. The Philly artist has yet to make a song or project that I don’t like. That said, his newest work, the Stillwater EP with Birthday, continues this trend. If I had to describe the project in one phrase, it’d be “boombap production laid out for exquisite displays of lyrical fortitude.” Granted, the entire project isn’t complete boombap; “Be Wary” is more grimy 90s rap than straight boombap. However, the vibes of this project are strictly for those who love straight spitting from their hip-hop. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
