Chicago artist (and Black Ink Crew: Chicago star) Phor dropped the visuals to his track “Help” recently and I knew that I had to post them on the site. The track itself delves into the struggles he’s been through and goes through as a young man trying to make it musically and otherwise. Meanwhile, the video doubles as a suicide prevention aid, as, in the video, Phor struggles with suicidal ideation and contemplates ending it all. Using music as an outlet for struggles is nothing new, nor should it be. The struggle is, indeed, real as hell. However, Phor’s honesty (not to mention the soulful production) help hammer the point home and make it resonate that much clearer. Check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
