They’re soulful and full of pain, showing a young man who’s seen the darkness of being Black–and being Black in Baltimore–but also the glory in being Black and being from Baltimore. It’s almost gospel in its delivery and in its reminder that while we were slaves before, we aren’t going to be slaves again. Powerful visuals and powerful lyrics make this one a great addition to any late voting playlists.
