Before today, I hadn’t heard of Atlanta-born artist Asante Farid, who recently dropped “Jubilee” as a celebration of making to twenty-five. I’m slapping myself for not finding out about Farid earlier, though, as he’s got a Cole-esque manner about him. He’s chill in his approach, but precise in his lyrical execution. One place they differ is Farid, on “Jubilee,” opted not to go for many punchlines, groaners included, opting for a storyteller’s look into his life. It’s a great introduction for those who, like me, may’ve never heard of Farid’s work before this track. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
