R.LUM.R has quietly carved an incredible lane for himself.

The artist has put out consistently great music over the past few years and has shown no signs of slowing down, especially as he’s gearing up for the release of his official debut album, Surfacing. “Lonely,” which appears on the aforementioned album, keeps that same energy R.LUM.R has been known for. While discussing his (and his subject’s) mental health–a constant thread in his music–we’re given a plea from him to find the light in a world of darkness. He wants us to keep him in the light while also knowing that he’ll be a beacon for anyone in need of one.
Sonically, we don’t get much of R.LUM.R’s patented falsetto, but the song still hits you in the chest with emotions. That’s also in part to the instrumentation, which features guitar licks throughout that add a smooth, intimate energy to this one. If the rest of the album is anything like the releases we’ve heard so far, this will be a sleeper hit for sure. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
