Garrison Elijaah has been one of the most-consistent artists I’ve seen over the almost decade I’ve ran speedonthebeat.com. He always tops his last effort and always comes from the heart in his music. Today, we get to talk about his latest visuals, “Bittersweet.”

The track, originally released in 2016, gets its moment in the sun as we find Garrison trekking through the woods, somewhat disheveled. Throughout the track, listeners are given heartfelt lyrics and a peep into a man who craves the light, even in the dark.
Over a simple piano-backed instrumental, the Minnesota artist delivers one hell of an emotional gutpunch. It’s the rawness in his lyrics and his delivery, on top of his singing in the chorus, which makes me recommend this track to anyone looking for new music (or new-to-your-ears music) in 2020. Check out the video above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
