Arjay Soul’s sophomore project Karma-Sutra doesn’t fall victim to the almost-cliche-at-this-point slump. The project starts off blazing with its intro, a scathing look at a former lover.

The track goes into detail about how she’s getting what’s coming to her: Arjay’s success in spite of her and despite her best efforts to keep him leveled. Then, throughout the rest of the project, Arjay shows why he’s aiming for success. He mixes The Weeknd’s wear-my-heart-on-my-sleeve mentality with Bryson Tiller’s trapsoul. Here’s the kicker, though: he’s still able to have a great deal of fun within his music. While he’s not one for the boasting, he could stand to do some with a project like this.
