This one gives me early Mac vibes. Like KIDS-era Mac. Because of that, I jumped to post it. Like with Adro and how he reminds me of Spitta, if you remind me of Mac, I’m going to show you love. Thems just two of the unwritten SOTB rules.
Over a jazzy but snappy beat (notice a trend here today?), Dawkins talks about the positives in his life. He also talks about how they’re keeping him afloat in a world that’d rather him strive for perfection and burn out. The line “don’t need a whole garden if I can smell a rose” from the hook, it’s one of those lines that is like “aight, I feel that and I can’t hate it.” Who could hate on this sort of track? Only the most cynical a-holes, in my opinion, could find something overly negative to say about this one. Let’s enjoy our slices of perfect and support dope music in all its forms.
