Yesterday, Death by Tapioca (who you might remember from his earlier track this year, “Out Like Trout) released “Take it There.” While “Trout” was the just keep swimming anthem of the year, “There” is smoother, sexier even. That’s because the Canadian artist is channeling some late night afterparty vibes on this one. I love the beat on this one, because it kind of reminds me of a mix between old (read: fresh off Degrassi) Drake and Mac. The lyrics are punchy and quick, but also smooth and suave. They’re full of double entendres and punchlines, while still being full of heart and soul. He’s getting his Casanova on in some ways, even though he and Romeo ain’t never been friends. Now that I’m done showing you all that I’m probably too old for most new music out there, check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
