Sandra Iris Channels ’60s Guitar Duo Santo & Johnny on New Song

Spain’s Sandra Iris hit my line with this one last week and I’ve played it back quite often between then and now. The song in question, “Santo & Johnny,” mixes Latin jazz and electronic production to create a soundscape of love, lust and exploration. The song is about Iris thinking about a special someone in her room where they’ll have “sleepovers but won’t ever sleep.” Her vocals are the right mix of sensual and sexy, as she slides on the guitar licks effortlessly while also using her voice as another instrument in the song.

The song switches moods about halfway through to show that the infatuation was more of a daydream than an actuality. I love this switch because it, for me, takes the song to the next level. It makes it have that duality that I often look for in music I feature on SOTB. Check out the visuals below and support dope music in all its forms.
