On M Soto’s latest, “The Game,” the artist talks about how he’s one of those artists who doesn’t give a damn about clout. I’m here for that because so many artists are out here just for the money or the fame. I told Soto that I liked his music, but wasn’t a fan of some of his liberal use of Autotune. On this one, he tones down the Autotune and focuses more on lyricism and potent punchlines. Therefore, I’m more of a fan of this one. Like I’ve said time and time again, I love Autotune but a whole track of Autotune raps can get a bit wonky. Thankfully, for my tastes that is, Soto decided to focus more on his lyricism (which is strong, regardless of his Autotune).
Essentially, this one is one of those songs that’ll get stuck in your head because of its potency and catchiness. The brother knows how to make a bop and knows how to add lyrical content to said bop. I love this one and I hope you do, too. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
