Using a Peter Pan quote to set the mood, Damien Sebe’s “Tales of Magic” is just that: magical. It’s one of those instrumentals that makes me want to record on it, but also one that I respect enough to let ride without any bars. It’s that type of chill-hop that isn’t just a piano and some boombap drums. Instead, the melody here is pretty intricate, utilizing a few instruments to produce the soundscape. Said soundscape is dedicated to providing a sense of wonderment and a bit of elevation.
