A bit of a swagger-filled lyrical attack, “Anywhere I’m At” gives us those boombap vibes Spitty is known for (and friends, they are glorious). However, the track feels a bit timeless as well, mainly because of the lyricism Spitty applies here.
Over the Brucey B-produced beat, STS gives us lyrics for days while also providing an infectious chorus. I like this one, mainly because it’s the perfect mix of laidback new-school vibes and in-your-face throwback ones. This one was inspired by Gangstarr and Jedi Mind Tricks. I see the influence, down to the beat’s chops and cuts and how the beat reminds me a bit of a DJ Premier beat.
It’s good music of the highest degree. If you’re in the mood for some catchy boombap, check this one out below and support dope music in all its forms. This one appears on Spitty’s I Work Because I Have To album. If you like the tracks I’ve featured thus far, give the album a listen, too.
