DearQuinton Sings About a Fo’Eva Thang on Latest Track

Happy New Year from the SOTB Family. I hope your 2022 is off to a great start. I actually received “Fo’Eva Thang” mid-December, but I wanted to wait to drop my thoughts about it until it was officially released.

This one gives me distinct old-school R&B vibes, even though the song starts out with the f-word. Harmonies are present and build upon each other. There’s a lot of love and intention behind Quinton’s vocals, versus just making a song for the hookups and quick sex meetups. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’ve done my fair share of hooking up over the past fifteen or so years. However, the older we get, the more likely we are to look for that special someone for the long haul, not just for the night. DearQuinton understands that and delivers a sexy track for the lover in you, you and me.

Sonically, it reminds me a lot of 6LACK (down to the instrumentation). It also gives me a bit of a Prince or H.E.R., in that it’s sexy but also sensual. Plus, there’s a guitar solo over the last minute of the track that’s purely divine. Check out the track below and support dope music in all its forms.

(The song should be live on other DSPs by the time you’re reading this).
