I’ll be the first to admit that I’m still getting familiar with the Metaverse, NFTs and all that good stuff. Between the scammers and the honest-to-goodness creators, it’s a lot to process. Heck, I’m still getting familiar with cryptocurrency. Thankfully, KONG 1840 leaves the specifics alone and proceeds to just deliver some chill, tropically-influenced lyrics that are perfect for the chilly February weather I’m currently experiencing.
“Sabbath on Saturday” caught my attention because of the flow and the lyricism. It’s pretty solid and you can tell 1840 isn’t just doing this to go to the moon or any other crypto-related jargon. There’s a heart behind the lyricism and the visuals and the track itself. In fact, it kind of reminds me of a mix between an abstract rap track and a Curren$y track (that is, if Spitta was an NFT with a bunch of curvy beauties who help him save the day). I’m intrigued to see what else KONG 1840 has coming down the pipe, because memes are great…but dope lyrics are forever. Check out the visuals above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
