I originally got this one a week or two ago, but had to pass on it because the mix was very choppy. That said, the parts I could make out, I enjoyed. So imagine my surprise when AFFARI hit my line yesterday with a cleaner mix of the song in question, “Care to Explain.” I was ecstatic because I wanted to see if my initial positive thoughts would be rewarded. Long story short, I was blessed with an emotional song full of highs and lows.

“Care” has a simple premise, in that it’s mainly about someone seeking closure in a relationship. Said closure has the potential to become a double-edged sword. That’s because it can clear the air…while also potentially making things worse. The duality of closure is explored quite a bit throughout this song, which is propelled by a Heartbreak Drake-era-like beat and AFFARI’s vocals. This one is the title track of his to-be-released EP, which is slated to drop in the coming weeks. If you’re a fan of this one, I’d recommend checking out the EP when it drops.
