On “Cold Outside,” JrocVA Channels Anderson.Paak and Pharrell

The song “Cold Outside” is a soulful bowl of lyrical excellence served piping hot for these last few days of Winter. Virginia native JrocVA’s SOTBMusic introduction sounds like he’s been doing this for forever and a day (which, considering he’s been making music for at least thirteen years, isn’t that far off). I like this one because it’s funky, smooth, lyrically great–essentially all the things that I look for when I look for good music to write about. Sonically, it sounds right in the wheelhouse of Anderson.Paak and Pharrell. I like the song because of its message and because of its content. Plus, it just sounds amazing Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms–especially within the DMV (we’ve got a lot to offer).
