Apollo Ace Presents the Honest “You Knew Better”

A combination of lo-fi mixing and alternative rap stylings, Apollo Ace’s “You Knew Better” is an honest look at Ace’s upbringing. It’s one of those songs that’ll have you thinking about your own upbringing and how it made you the person you are today. It’s a very deep and in-depth song made that much better by Ace’s vocals. They’re not “cloud rap” sung, but they’re also not really rapped. Instead, there’s a mix of the two styles which makes the emotions hit that much harder. To know that everything Ace says here is truth makes “You Knew Better” a damning look at the person in his life who was quite toxic. If you’re looking for an honest look at an artist’s past and how it’s made them better–even though situations were wonky–check this one out below and support dope music in all its forms.
